Make Money Giving Away Freebies

Making Money As An Online Affiliate

Anyone should give this a shot, as affiliate marketing is extremely profitable for myself and for many other people out there.

Here are step-by-step instructions:

  1. Firstly, sign up to be a money-making affiliate at Commission Junction. It’s free to join! Once signed up, take a look around the affiliate interface – it’s very smooth and easy to deal with. The support there is unbelievable also.

  2. Brainstorm for a good domain that you can use for your site. The domain doesn’t have to be freebie related, although that certainly would help if you want repeat visitors. This is one site that offers cheap domains and reliable service.

If you don’t want to buy a new domain, you can also just add a page to an existing domain. For example, if you owned the domain CheapBooks.com, you could easily add a freebies page – CheapBooks.com/freebies. This is perfectly fine, though not as ideal.

  3. You need to have a minimal amount of hosting for it. One average webpage safely takes up about 2 MB of space, inclusive of images. This is next to nothing. Additional pages don’t add much either. If you don’t have hosting, I have a recommendation for a host. They’re located in Singapore, but have international hosting, and provide 24/7, excellent support! Once, I had trouble with my domain transfer, and they helped me out with it, at 2am in the morning!

  4. Once signed up, go to the “Campaigns” tab on the affiliate site. Clicking on a campaign will provide you with html for your site or email. You can choose from a vast variety of creatives as well.

  5. Next step, paste the html codes into your webpage. It’s that easy!

  6. Advertise. I’ve had equal luck with Google Adwords, Kanoodle, and other advertising methods. For every $1 I’ve spent, I’ve seen a return of $2-$3. Try matching that in any other business!

I generally suggest Adwords for starting out, because of its simplicity and inexpensiveness. When setting up Adwords, try using the keyword suggestion tool to help you determine good keywords to target.

You can use the invaluable Google Keyword Suggestion Tool to browse for the most popular keywords associated with whatever type of freebies you’ll be promoting. Both of these methods should be effective.

As you progress, you may find that Kanoodle is a more involved and effective approach – it allows you to target specific pages for specific words, has superior support to Adwords, and has a wider option of settings. In the end of things, Adwords is less expensive, but for me at least, results in fewer targeted sales than Kanoodle. I’ve also used Clicksor, and purchased targeted traffic. Ultimately, it’s your decision – and you can be as creative as you want.

  7. This is by far my favorite step. Just relax, check on your stats, see how your advertising is going and sit back and wait for your checks! Large checks! All told, the entire process from start to finish can be completed in 15-20 minutes. Within 20 minutes, you could have a freebies page set up, your ads set up, and you could even make your first commission. All you have to do is take action!

Hope this helps and that you make loads of money. We can email you with hints, tips, and instructions too. Please email us with any questions you have. Cheers and great luck!

Free Ways To Advertise Online

  1. Get links. Submit to search engines. Maybe you’ll get lucky. SEO is basically magic to me, so I’m always mystified by people coming to my site from really strange keywords.

  2. Sign up at forums, put your link in your signature, and post! Sounds dumb, but listen to this. I signed up at some architecture forum, started a topic that I knew people would discuss, put a link to some architecture freebies in my signature, and I probably made 4-5 sign-ups from that. So about a 10 minute signup and post and probably a $10 profit. Pretty good deal.

  3. I can’t say it enough: Get links to your site. They will help in everything.
